VLV2014 wk4 - Teachers Count

Instead of flowers which I love, I decided to work on a thank-you card for a teacher using week 4 sketch of Viva La Verve designed by Anya Schrier along with the stamp set: Teachers Count (Verve).

Here is my card:
Actually, it's for the daycare where my little grandson goes since he learns a lot from there when they have school time and so they are also teachers in my view. He talks so well and only 2 years old. This paper was perfect for school theme called: Storytime (SU) and perfect with the little kids playing.

Plus couldn't resist but to use this cute little apple and matching die cut. The inside of the card, which I forgot to take a picture has another apple and the sentiment "Thanks you for all you do".  Added some hearts using the Scalloped Trim Trio (Verve) and my Fishtail Flag (MFT) dies to cut some banners for the top and bottom along with foam mount under the Daffodil Delight cardstock (center), under the banners, and under one of the apples (bottom one).

Final touch was adding some crystal effects on the apple to make it shine. Don't forget to check out the new Viva La Verve sketch challenge or click here to go directly to week 4 sketch and have some fun! I hope they enjoy the handmade card.

Supplies Used:

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red, Wild Wasabi
Accessories:  Fishtail Flag Layers (MFT), Apples Die Set, Scalloped Trim Trio (A Cut Above by Verve), Foam Mount, Crystal Effects

MFTWSC160 - Let's Toast You Deserve the Best

Had a chance to create another card using the MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge 160 over at My Favorite Thing Blog. This card is also using this month's MFT Color Palette Challenge colors: Pink, Black, and white.

Here is my card:
I will admit this card was so much fun to make since I used so many new dies I've bought but yet finally now got a chance to use. Also, got to use some more of my favorite paper. This one is called: Chantilly (ctmh) along with Cotton Candy card stock.

Once again, my MFT Blueprints came in handy. This card used blueprint 1 and 3 along with the Die-namics Dispersed Dots, Fishtail Flag Layers, Peek A Boo Chevrons, and Mini Hybird Heirloom Rose. For the sentiment, I used Let's Toast and for the words which were embossed using white embossing powder, the stamp set Pretty Poppies came in handy.

Check out their new Color Palette challenge and weekly sketch 160 this week. Almost forgot, after I created the rose, I sprayed it with Pink Iridescent Spray & Sparkle from Crafter's Companion.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Let's Toast (MFT), Pretty Poppies (MFT)
Paper: Chantilly (ctmh)
Cardstock: White, Cotton Candy (ctmh), Black (ctmh)

VLV2014 wk3 - Wishing You Much Happiness

What a fun sketch over at Viva La Verve and lots of layers with week three designed by Christyne Kane and a photo inspiration full of colors, so out came black, purple, and a little golden yellow. Well, I also added some pinks into it for the flower and some green for the leaves.

Here is my card:
Pulled out some ctmh paper that I've had for awhile now called: La Belle Vie along with using the matching cardstock that came with the pack.  Also, since I love flowers and wanted to color, I pulled out the stamp set from Verve called: Feel the Sun and did a lot of fussy cut.

The sentiment came from another Verve stamp set called Brighter Days and love how well it goes with this card plus I can color part of it as well. Used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color the flower and sentiment along with some foam mount in between to pop up the flower.

Don't forget to check out the new Viva La Verve sketch challenge.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Feel the Sun (Verve), Brighter Days (Verve)
Paper: La Belle Vie paper pack (ctmh)
Cardstock: White, Bamboo, La Belle Vie Pink and Mauve (ctmh), Ultra Smooth White Cardstock
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Spectrum Noir Markers
Accessories:  Square Stax (MFT), Foam Mount, Stardust Glitter Glue

VLV2014 wk2 - Great Friend Birthday Greetings

Had to use more of this fun paper from the More Amore Speciality and worked on another Viva La Verve Sketch. This one is week two designed by Teresa Kline.

Here is my card:
I've changed this card so many times between stamp sets, ribbons or no ribbon, etc. I'm sure we have all had these moments, but I had fun playing with all of the different elements. This card used the stamp set: Great Friend (Verve) along with Borderline (Verve) for the chevron look which was embossed in white.

Here I used several of my blueprint dies from MFT, blueprint 1, 3 and 5 along with the Flag it Die, and Elegant Leaves by Verve. I did do some fuzzy cut for the flowers and popped them up using foam mount in between. Added some liquid pearl for the center and there you go.

Like I said before, I changed this card several times so here is another picture of the same card, but with polka dot flower in the center. The reason for it was for someone who loves polka dots.
What do you think? Which one do you like better...with polka dots or without for the top center flower? Below is a full list of supplies used for this card.

Again, don't forget to check out the new Viva La Verve sketch challenge.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Great Friend (Verve), Borderline (Verve)
Paper: More Adore (SU), Brights DSP pack (SU)
Cardstock: Whisper White, Real Red, Early Espresso
Inks: Early Espresso, Memento Tuxedo Black, Old Olive
Accessories:  Blueprints 1, 3, 5 (MFT), Flag it Die & Elegant Leaves (A Cut Above by Verve), Liquid Pearl, Foam Mount, White embossing powder

VLV2014 wk1 & Diva Dare - Twitterpated with Shimmer & Shine

Finally got some time to work on some cards and figured to start with Viva La Verve sketch challenge which has a new blog along with a new look. Here I also incorporated hearts for the Diva Dare challenge for the month of January 2014 "Smitten" and than saw their new challenge of Shimmer and Shine and thought to add some sparkles to this card.

Here is my card:
I've had this set for quite awhile called Twitterpated and when I saw Sarah's card over at her blog Thinking Stamps using this set, I couldn't resist but to use it myself and try more coloring again using my Spectrum Noir markers and than paper pieced her dress with SU bright color pack.

I've had this paper for a long time now called More Amore (SU) and finally opened it up and had some fun playing with the patterned papers along with silver glitter paper along with another Verve stamp set called: Borderline and some punches.
