Your Fabulous - Thank-you so much!

Wanted to get one more card in for this week's SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge of  "Anything Goes" as this is also the last day for Kathy's 30 day color challenge over at The Daily Marker and wanted to dedicate this card to Kathy as a "Thank-you" for hosting this color challenge and for all the inspiration, tips, and lessons throughout the month as it's always invaluable.

Framed the sentiment using the Stitched Rectangle using Kraft cardstock and added the flowers by using foam mount and adhering them to the frame. Last but not least added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Focal Point using Dies & Color for a Happy Birthday

Wanted to join the fun over at the MFT Summer School with Lesson #2 on Focal Points and also join a few more challenges with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge with "Anything Goes" as well as Seize Your Birthday.
Here is my card:
I wanted to build a focal point with using dies but before that I started with my Blueprints 20 to create a stax up look as well. Started off using Steel Blue cardstock with the Scallops and than Smooth White for the smaller stitched panel in the center and added craft foam under the panel.

Here is what I used to create the flower and focal point at the top by combining different elements.
Cardstock used was Summer Splash for the blue, Tickled Pink for the Pink, Smooth White for the flower and doily. White basic pearl was added at the top.

Last but not least, added a sentiment from the stamp set: Totally Happy but choose Grout Gray cardstock to keep the colors as focal point as in spot coloring on a card.

Basically, the same card, but by changing a few elements on the card, look what happens when you remove the scallops and change the look of the sentiment.
Let me know which one you like better? As always, if you haven't checked out the challenge site, please do so to see more inspiration and plus join in on the last sketch.

Next, I added some sun rays by using the stencil along with Scattered Straw Distress ink. Afterwards, I added the stitched rectangle using Blu Raspberry cardstock and cut out a stitched circle using Kraft to sit behind this adorable girl.

As you can guess, I colored this sweet image using my Copic Markers and than white embossing the sentiment onto black cardstock which was die cut using the Stitched Fishtail Flag die. Stamped the flowers and leaves from the set: Peonies from Avery Elle onto some water color paper first using versamark ink and white embossed it first to create a resist effect when adding color. Next, I played with a mix of colors using my Spectrum Noir Aqua markers by first adding the color to my craft sheet and than picking up color with the water brush.

When I was happy with the colors, I fussy cut them and added some foam mount underneath to build the arrangement. Last but not least, I added some enamel dots to finish this thank-you card.

Happy Birthday with Flowers

This card was made to celebrate one of our IG (Instagram) friends Birthday's Anastasia and hope she has a wonderful day filled with fun and excitement.
Here is my card:
I couldn't resist but to play with some of my favortie products from MFT and wanted to join the fun with the homework on using lines. Therefore, I pulled out the Horizontal Stitched Die and die cut colors using Summer Splash, Grape Jelly, Grout Gray, and Tickled Pink.

Next, I added all the strips onto a white stitched base which I cut out first using blueprints 13 as it's a perfect fit for these strips. Next, I took the panel and cut out a circle and than used my Stitched circles from Simon Says Stamp and cut another circle where I added the words "Happy Birthday" using the set Circle Sayings.

Before adhereing the panel, I added some craft foam cut smaller than the panel to pop it up. Colored in the flowers from the set: Spring Tulips and little girl from the set: Feline Better using my copic markers. To add some details to the dress, I added some white polka dots using my white Sharpie pen.

For the center main attraction, I colored in this adorable girl who is graduating from the stamp set: Hats off To You from SugarPeaDesigns with my copic markers and created some pleats into her grown. Later decided to cut out the image so that I could pop her up using foam mount.

Added the sentiment from the same set using white embossing powder and cut out a little heart that I saw from the Blueprints 18 collection in Real Red and than another little heart in white using a small heart punch from SU.

MOJO Monday 401 - Wishing you a Fabulous Birthday!

What a fabulous sketch Julee Tilman designed for today's Mojo Monday#401 which just celebrated 8 years in business and will say I love their stamps. Today I pulled out these beautiful flowers to play along this week.
As you can tell, I've been having fun with watercolors lately and wanted to also join in on the Pretty Pink Posh Water Color Challenge which is ending later today. Also, today is day 8 of the 30 day color challenge Kathy's is hosting over at The Daily Marker

Here is my card:
Again, I just love these flowers from the set called: Surely Goodness where I white embossing them first to create a resist background before applying the watercolor to them. Next, I scribbled some water colors onto my craft mat using the Spectrum Noir Aqua markers.

Since I wanted to soften the color a bit, I made sure to take my water brush and mix the color on the craft sheet before applying to the water color paper. As the saying goes, you can keep adding more colors to intesify the look or add more water to soften the look.

Stamped the sentiment from the set called: Let it Be and added a very light blue on top of the saying and around it adding just a bit of color since the flowers had enough color. At the end, added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins and added foam mount under the Stitched base rectangle panel.

As always, if you haven't checked out the challenge sites, please go take a look to see fabulous inspiration and creativity.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Surely Goodness (Verve), Let it Be (Verve),
Card stock and Paper: Watercolor Paper (Crafter's Companion), Black Licorice (MFT), Newspaper DSP (SU)
Inks: Black Licorice Hybird (MFT), Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers
Accessories: Blueprint 13 (MFT), Goodness Flower Dies (Verve), White Embossing Powder (Ranger), Sequins (Pretty Pink Posh), Foam Mount Tape
