Pretty Pink Posh + Avery Elle Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the blog hop showcasing Pretty Pink Posh's and Avery Elle as they have teamed up this month to bring together tons of fun and inspiration along with prizes to be won. More information at the bottom.

You should have arrived from the talented Melania Deasy, but if you get lost, no worries, there is a complete line up list below so you can stay on track during the blog hop.

I'm beyond thrilled to share these two cards with you today, so let's get started.

It's so much fun to create shaker cards, so I decided to create one using these beautiful Scallop Rectangles, from Pretty Pink Posh where you can create a wonderful frame around any scene along with this adorable little critters from the Woodland Wonders stamp set from Avery Elle

I just love how these stitched scallops are inverted and add details to the frame and how could you not resist but to color in these cute little critters. For the background, I created the sky by using the Scallop border as a stencil from the Stitched Borders 2 set and sponged in ink to form the clouds.

Next, I wanted to create some grass, so again, I created another stencil by die cutting the largest scallop border from the Stitched Borders 4 set and placed the negative piece of the die cut down on my background to sponge in some green ink.

Last but not least, I added some 4mm sequins in various colors and glued them in place using: Pink Peonies, Lemon Drop, and Sea Breeze . Next, I thought it might be fun to add some Woodlands Seed Beads to give the grass some texture and have fun shaking the card.

Now moving onto the second card:

Again, shaker cards are so much fun, so I decided to make another one using these cute little critters along with the Stitched Film Strip Die. Love the detail stitching on this die with the three rectangles. It's perfect to add in some sequins.

Here, I added 4mm Lemon Drop on top, 4mm Sea Breeze in the middle, and 4mm Lavender Moon at the bottom which by the way is Iridescent and adds extra sparkles. Absolutely love it.

The background was created with ink blending and mixed together with four colors. Also, don't want to forget this cute little stitched scallop border from the Stitched Borders 1 set. It always adds a wonderful border detail. Don't you think? It's one of my favorites.

Sending Big Hugs on Your Birthday

As mentioned before, I have several of my instagram friends who celebrated their birthday recently and I said in my previous post that more birthday cards to come. So here is another one. This card was fun to make and best of all easy steps to make several cards to send out to family and friends.

Previously, I made a backround using the water lifting technique, so I deceided to use it for this card as I love the colors. From there, I used a 2 5/8" circle die to create my center as I wanted to add the smaller Scallop Circle from Pretty Pink Posh on top to add a decorate look.

Next, I wanted to add a sentiment, so I die cut the mini scallop border using the Stitched Border 4 collection from Pretty Pink Posh as it's one of my favorites and than cut a 3/8" black strip to place on top of the white border.

Here, I pulled out the Birdie Fiends stamp set as it has a wonderful varitey of sentiments and love the font style which I embossed using versamark and white embossing powder. Than, I stampled the little envelope and little heart from the Birdie Notes set to add next to the sentiment.

Now moving on to the focal point of the card, I pulled out the Winter Friends stamp set to use this cute little penguin and than stamped the umbrella from the Rainy Days set which was colored using my copic markers.

Also, I added foam mount tape to pop them up along with one more little envelope stamped with the little heart.

Last but not least, I added some beautiful new 4mm Rose Gold sequins along the inside of the circle and alternated it with some 4mm clear sequins

With Love on Your Birthday

I can't tell you how much I've missed creating cards, especially playing with these fabulous sequins, dies, and stamps. Plus, not to mention, I've missed seeing everyone’s card creations and leaving comments for people, so bare with me as I'm catching up as this last month has been no fun for me while dealing with lots of nerve pain.

It's birthday time again as several friends of mine from Instagram recently celebrated their birthdays and I wanted to make one for each of them, so you know you will be seeing more birthday cards.

Here is my card:
I'm in love with this beautiful Window Frame from Pretty Pink Posh as it's one of my favorites to create scenes, along with an amazing stitching detail so I used that as my focal point and than sponged a sky background.

Next, I pulled out this adorable bear and hearts from Essentials by Ellen called All Inside and used the matching die to help me cut it out, which I colored using my copic markers. From there I stamped several hearts from the same set and added glossy accents. With the sentiment, I decided to heat emboss using white embossing powder from Ranger as I love the contrast of white and black.

In addition, I used Altenew Vintage Roses set where I stamped several of the flowers using the Summer Afternoon ink collection which made it easy to create this layered look as all of the colors work beautifully together from light, med, to darker yellows. For the leaves, I used the Green Fields ink collection.

For the final touches and to add some sparkles, I added some beautiful 4mm Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh as it always add the perfect touch.

Normally, I don't write about what's going on with me, but did want to bring awareness for people who suffer from Trigimenal Neuralgia and Sciatica to be cautious when doctors prescribe a medication called Tegretol as I had a severe allergic skin reaction causing red rashing that spreads through the body and blisters out. Think of it like degree burns in different areas of your body.

In addition is takes over a week or more to get all the medicaiton out of your system and skin burns to that degree are extremly painful, so please be cautious if doctors prescribe this medication to control nerve pain. It also has additional side effects that are no fun.

Again, I normally always focus blogging regarding card making and crafting, but felt very strong about trying to bring awareness on this medication.
