MFTWSC224 - Happy Birthday Sunshine

Wanted to play with some NBUS (Never Before Used Stuff) that has been sitting around so pulled out this cute stamp set called: Everyday Is A Picnic and playing with the MFTWSC224 sketch over at MFT Card Challenges and one more card for the Simon Says Stamp Wed challenge of backgrounds.
Here is my card:
Changed up my color combination again and this time using some Grout Grey with Orange Fizz and Sour Apple. It's always good to experiment and see how colors change a scene and design. As always, used my Blueprints 13 for the base stitched mat. Also used Blueprints 5 for the center rectangles.

To create the background, I wanted a tone on tone look so used Grout Gray ink and Gingham Background stamp as my base and than used my Copic markers to color in some sky and grass for the middle.

Used some foam mount under this cute little girl to add some dimension and Glossy Accents on the flowers. The sentiment is from the set: Birthday Greetings (Another NBUS). Always good to go through stamp sets and see what hasn't been used yet.

As always, if you haven't already checked out the challenge sites, go check them out to see all the wonderful ideas and inspiration.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Every Day Is A Picnic (MFT), Birthday Greetings (MFT)
Card stock: Smooth White, Sour Apple, Orange Fizz, Grout Grey (MFT), X Press It Blending Paper (copic coloring)
Inks: Black Licorice (MFT Hybird), Copic Markers,

Here is my card:
Finally got a chance to play and color this sweet little girl from the stamp set called: Miss You Lots which I've been wanting to do for a long time now. Also, played with making a background to keep it as a one layer card. Still practicing with grounding so bare with me on this.

Here I used my Blueprints #20 along with Pink Lemonade card stock as my base. Than used some foam mount under the Berrylicious cardstock to give this card some dimension. The sentiment is from the set: Winter Pals and to finish this card, I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

As always, if you haven't already checked out the challenge sites, go check them out to see all the wonderful ideas and inspiration.

Wanted to make a "thank-you" card for someone super sweet and also wanted to try out this cute sketch MFTWSC223 over at the MFT Card Challenges along with Simon Says Wednesday Challenge of "Spring or April Showers".

Here is my card:
Absolutely love this stamp set called: Fairy Sweet and have been wanting to use it for awhile now so went on to make this a square size shape since I wanted to also add in a shaker element for someone special who's birthday is coming up along with this cute sentiment from the set: Special Delivery.

For the background, I cut out several heart borders and added it to the Blu Raspberry card stock to add some dimension and embossed look. Than went on to cut out a Square Frame using Ripe Raspberry card stock and another one using Stitched Squares dies to put on top. Perfect fit.

Added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins and little hearts from the hearts border die to fill up this little square. Last but not least added some Wink of Stella on her wings and starts.
