Merry Christmas

Back today with another Christmas card as we are getting closer to Christmas Day and plan on sharing more ideas on the days ahead. Also, joining in over at Simon Says Stamp Wenesday challenge of using Ice Inspiration

I had lots of fun coloring this cute little bear and Santa hat from the Winter Friends set from Pretty Pink Posh and adore all of the images in it. Also, I couldn't resist but to use this Poinsetta's, Pine, and Mistletoe again from the Mistletoe & Holly set from Essentials by Ellen to create this Christmas card.

For this card, I'm using one of my favorites, the Falling Snow Stencil from Simon Says Stamp as my Ice Inspiration along with some texture embossing paste. Love the snow effect on Christmas cards.

Super easy to create several of these in one sitting. For the sentiment, I used the Merry and Bright designer dies from Essentials by Ellen and layered three of them together to create some dimension.

To finish off this card, I used several 4mm and 6mm Gold Metallic sequins from Pretty Pink Posh as I love to add sparkles.

Happy Holiday Season and Be Merry!

Spent some time today coloring and joining in for another day with Kathy's 30 day color challenge over at the The Daily Marker. Also, joing over at Simon Says Stamp Wenesday challenge of using Christmas Critters

I had lots of fun coloring these cute little penguin and seal with their Santa's hat from the Winter Friends set of Pretty Pink Posh along with coloring Poinsetta's and more using the Mistletoe & Holly set from Essentials by Ellen that I created two shaker cards today.

For this card, I'm using one of my favorites, the Stitched Duo 3 and cut the window out to create a bigger window for this shaker. Since I love adding shimmer to Christmas cards, I used Pearl White Shimmering cardstock from Crafter's companion and stamped the Holiday sentiment.

Next, I pulled out the Twine and Bow die along with some Gold foil and wrapped it on top. For the bow itself, I die cut 3 white ones and stacked them together to give it some dimension before adding the gold bow on top.

For this second shaker, I used another favorite of mine, the Storybook 1 die and love how you can use it so many different ways. Vertical, Horizontal, or even alter it by cutting one of the windows to make it bigger.

All of the images where colored using my copic markers and than used the Coordinating die from the Winter Friends set and the Coordinating die from the Mistletoe & Holly set to help me cut them out fast.

I love this Winter Snow Mix of blue shades so I added it together with the new Snowflake Sequin from Pretty Pink Posh and love how the two combined so well.

Again, had lots of fun coloring and creating these two shakers to add to my collection of Christmas cards!

With Love on Your Birthday

I can't tell you how much I've missed creating cards, especially playing with these fabulous sequins, dies, and stamps. Plus, not to mention, I've missed seeing everyone’s card creations and leaving comments for people, so bare with me as I'm catching up as this last month has been no fun for me while dealing with lots of nerve pain.

It's birthday time again as several friends of mine from Instagram recently celebrated their birthdays and I wanted to make one for each of them, so you know you will be seeing more birthday cards.

Here is my card:
I'm in love with this beautiful Window Frame from Pretty Pink Posh as it's one of my favorites to create scenes, along with an amazing stitching detail so I used that as my focal point and than sponged a sky background.

Next, I pulled out this adorable bear and hearts from Essentials by Ellen called All Inside and used the matching die to help me cut it out, which I colored using my copic markers. From there I stamped several hearts from the same set and added glossy accents. With the sentiment, I decided to heat emboss using white embossing powder from Ranger as I love the contrast of white and black.

In addition, I used Altenew Vintage Roses set where I stamped several of the flowers using the Summer Afternoon ink collection which made it easy to create this layered look as all of the colors work beautifully together from light, med, to darker yellows. For the leaves, I used the Green Fields ink collection.

For the final touches and to add some sparkles, I added some beautiful 4mm Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh as it always add the perfect touch.

Normally, I don't write about what's going on with me, but did want to bring awareness for people who suffer from Trigimenal Neuralgia and Sciatica to be cautious when doctors prescribe a medication called Tegretol as I had a severe allergic skin reaction causing red rashing that spreads through the body and blisters out. Think of it like degree burns in different areas of your body.

In addition is takes over a week or more to get all the medicaiton out of your system and skin burns to that degree are extremly painful, so please be cautious if doctors prescribe this medication to control nerve pain. It also has additional side effects that are no fun.

Again, I normally always focus blogging regarding card making and crafting, but felt very strong about trying to bring awareness on this medication.

Stretching Your Stamps for Another Birthday Card

Back again today, but with a focus on stretching your stamps a little more. Also, joining over at Seize The Birthday this week where I was originally thinking of their topping: "cupcake", since I love eating them as well as coloring them, but ended up with something different.

Also, joining Kathy's " The Daily Marker 30 day challenge" over at The Daily Marker where you can join in daily. This challenge runs through March 1st and it's always an inspiration to see what she has done for the day.

Here is my card:
First off, I must admit I adore this stamp set: Winter Friends from Pretty Pink Posh and figured to strech my stamp set even more. By first looking at it, one thinks "Winter or Christmas", but by viewing them from different angles you may be able to see another image.

Here, I looked at the Christmas ornaments upside down on purpose and thought "balloons". All I did was alter it by cutting the little hook. So at times, re-look at your images and try viewing them upside down to see if it resembles something different or view them side ways as well.

Next, I added some balloon strings. You can draw them in, but since I had another stamp set on my desk, I thought "why not". It's from the Lila's Heart from Simon Says Stamp. The coffee mug and adorable little penguin was a perfect pair to add together to create a fun element.

I wanted the center as my focus, so I used this fabulous Scallop Frames and added some fun foam underneath to give it some dimension. Also, added the sentiment from Essentials By Ellen called Fancy Thanks as it has wonderful sayings and font style.

Last, but not least, I added some fun sequins from Pretty Pink Posh using 4mm in Sea BreezeLemon Drop, and Raspberry along with Wink of Stella over the balloons, coffee mug, and little bow to add more sparkles.

As always, if you haven't checked out the challenge, please stop over to check out the amazing inspiration over there.

Wishing You a Wonderful Birthday

It looks like we have lots of birthdays in September, so once again, celebrating another one of my friends from IG (Instagram) Annette IG: @paper_pajama birthday who is always super sweet and supportive. Wishing you a wonderful birthday and hope you enjoy all year long! Happy Birthday Annette.

Also, joining over with this week's challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday blog with the theme of "Use a Die" Also, over at Seize The Birthday with "Anything Goes"

Here is my card:
Here I created my background by blending in several colors from Simon Says Stamp starting from the bottom going up is Hot Mama, Teeny Bikini, Melon, Green Apple, Audrey Blue, and Banana Split is from MFT collection.

Next, I used the Abstract Cover Up die from MFT and die cut two of them using white card stock and glued them together before adding it to the colored background.
Next, I gold embossed this gorgeous flower by Essentials by Ellen from the stamp set called: Mondo Magnolia times two and the reason for two is because I wanted to fuzzy cut the center flower out so that I could pop it over the first flower. I adhered it slighlty offset to create some more layered leaves.

Added the sentiments from MFT stamp set called: Label Maker Sentiment and added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to finish off this card. As always, if you haven't checked out the challenge, please stop over to check out all the inspiration.
