Halloween Card with a Peekaboo Shaker

Since Halloween is just a few days away, I made another Peekaboo Shaker using these little critters and images from the Halloween Friends froPretty Pink Posh along with the same tags from my previous post.

I love to mail out cards with little surprises so this works perfect! Also, I used the Coordinating die to help me cut these little images making it fast.

As you can tell, I've been having fun with some distress ink and a stencil again to create the background. Here I used Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concord, and Seedless Preserves.

First add the ink onto the stencil, spritz it with water, and apply the stencil directly to an A2 size water color panel. Repeated the process for each color and know that each time you will get a different result.

You can click here to see previous post on another card I made using this technique if you want.

Enjoying these little tags from the Stitched Essentials 1 and how I can cut all three tags at once. Plus the new Peekaboo Windows work perfect with them.

Again, these are fast and easy to make. More details on how I assembled the tags can be found on my previous post. For the black hills, I used the Scallop Borders and die cut two pieces to overlap them together.

For this card, I used several sequin colors starting with 4mm Tangerine4mm Sugar Plum Mix, 4mm Mossy Green, and a touch of 4mm Sparkling clear

Also, I added some 4mm clear droplets as I love the way they look against this background. Hope you enjoyed and give them a try.

Altenew + Pretty Pink Posh Collaboration Blog Hop

Welcome to the Collaboration Blog Hop Day showcasing Altenew and Pretty Pink Posh as they have teamed up this month to bring together tons of fun and inspiration along with prizes to be won. More information at the bottom.

You should have arrived from the talented Nicole Picadura but if you get lost, no worries, there is a complete line up list below so you can stay on track during the blog hop.

I can't resist but to use this adorable Stitched Star from Pretty Pink Posh to create a Christmas shaker card. Here, I'm using the negative portion of the star die along with the new Holiday Shimmer sequins mix which is absolutely beautiful.

To add some details to the top of the card, I stamped some pine needles using the set Poinsettia & Pine from Altenew and for the bottom, I used the Stitched Borders 1 to create some white hills as though the reindeers are sitting in snow.

For the inside of the shaker, I used some distress inks: Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers and heat embossed some white snowflakes using the Winter Wonderland set from Pretty Pink Posh and love the various sizes to choose from.

Than I got to play with these beautiful Reindeers from Altenew from the set: Modern Deer and wanted to use various shades of browns to stamp them. Here, I used a couple of inks from Altenew, Paper Bag and Dark Chocolate and layered with Jet Black ink.

Moving onto the second card:

Started off this card by doing some ink blending for the background and used Mango Smoothie and Cotton Candy ink from Altenew. Also, I once again did some heat embossing to add some snowflakes using the Winter Wonderland set.

From there, I die cut three stitched borders from the Stitched Borders 1 collection and overlapped them to create some white hills. I did add some foam mount tape under the top hill to add some dimension and added a sentiment, again from the new Modern Deer set.

To add to the scene, I pulled out these cute trees from the Holiday Pals set from Pretty Pink Posh and colored them using my copic markers: (YG03, YG17, YG67) along with the coordinating die to help me cut them out. Final touch was to add some sparkles and used one of my favorites, 4mm Sparkling clear sequins.
