Saying Hello with some Butterflies

I'm back today but with some watercoloring and playing around with some distress inks to join in the bi-weekly challenge #103 Watercolor over at Marker Pop. When I saw the challenge, I thought it would be a perfect time to play with my Spectrum Aqua Markers, Distress inks, and play with these beautiful butterflies from Pretty Pink Posh.

Here is my card:
For this card, I started off by stamping these cute butterflies and sentiment from the Blissful Butterflies set onto a piece of watercolor card stock, measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". From there, I pulled out my Spectrum Aqua markers to color them in using the following colors: Marigold, Gold, and Yellow for the wings and Chestnut and Desert for the body.

Next, I stamped the butterflies and word onto some masking paper and used the Blissful Butterflies Coordinating die to cut it out to place on top of the butterflies and word to protect them while I created the background.

To create this background, I used a stencil and added Picked Raspberry distress ink onto the stencil and spritzed it with water that was mixed with Perfect Pearls. From there, I layed down the stencil onto the water color paper. I repeated this again with Peacock Feathers and Scattered Straw distress ink. I will say this was fun to make.

From there, I cut off 1/2" from the panel and added some white fun foam underneath to add some dimension. Before placing down, I added a border to the left side using these Scallop Borders die from Pretty Pink Posh

To finish off this card, I added some clear drops in both sizes, small and large to give the illusion of water drops.

Sending Big Hugs on Your Birthday!

Still playing catch up on birthday cards again and also wanted to share what I was playing with. This card is a belated birthday wish for one of my sweet friends over at Instagram. Also joining the Wednesday challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge with the theme Stamp It one more time.

Here is my card:
This time around, I figured to make a go and play with the fuse to create this shaker card along with playing with these beautiful Scallop Rectangles, from Pretty Pink Posh where you can create a wonderful frame around any scene. I did use some fun foam to pop up the frame to give it some dimension.

For the shaker, I pulled out these wonderful Stitched Essential dies as they have a variety of cute mini tags and than pulled out the Stitched Borders 1 die using pink card stock to add to the top of the tag.

Next, I water colored a couple of little birds from the Birdie Friends set and used the Birdie Friends Coordinating die to help me cut them out. Makes my life alot easier. From there, I added the tag inside the plastic.

Here, I added one of my favorite sequins, the 4mm Springtime Mix as I love the soft colors together. Also, if you noticed, I also added in these adorable little flowers from the Summer Flower sequins mix as they add a little more detail.

To finish off this card, I once again reached for the Twine and Bow set from Pretty Pink Posh as it always adds that extra touch without adding bulk. Hope you enjoy!

Birthday Wishes and Sending Hugs!

I'm back again today as I'm playing catch up on birthday cards as another one of my sweet friends over at Instagram celebrated her birthday a few days ago. This one is for Patricia @ Scrapflower (IG) and wanted to wish her a belated birthday and wish her many more to come. Also joining the Wednesday challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge with the theme Stamp It

Here is my card:
As you know, I love creating shaker cards, so this time, I decided to combine some more elements and use this adorable Stitched Duo 1 die from Pretty Pink Posh as I love the large tag with it's detailed stitiching. Plus, it has these little stitched squares to add little sayings and/or sequins.

From there, I focused on the shaker element and added some sentiments from the Birdie Friends set as I find the words perfect for any occassion. Here, I took this pharse out and put the words "hugs" above and "to you" at the bottom.

Next, I added in these beautiful iridescent 4mm Lavender Moon sequins which I love the way they sparkle and shine. For the center focal point, I wanted to use this cheerful cute little bird from the Birdie Notes set and die cut using the Birdie Notes Coordinating die.

The coordinating dies are always so helpful since it makes it easy to cut the images in a matter of seconds.....don't you think?

From there, I decided to water color this image using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.

Finished off this card by adding some flowers using the Altenew Vintage Roses set and added this cute big bow from the Twine and Bow set from Pretty Pink Posh as it always adds that extra touch without adding bulk. I always seem to reach for this when thinking of bows....one of my favorites!
Which one is your favorite?

Happy Birthday using some Camping Friends

I'm so excited and happy to share today one of the shaker cards I've been working on using this new Mini Storybook 1 die from Pretty Pink Posh and created a Happy Birthday card for a special friend of mine.

Again, I do love creating little scenes and adore using these little animals from the Camping Friends set as I think they are so cute. I created another version of this card which is over on the Pretty Pink Posh Blog today with all of the details on how I pieced it together.

Here is my card:
For this card, I embossed the background using these mini solid stars from the Camping Friends set along with some white embossing powder to add more details to the background.

Later, I decided to see what this card would look like without the stars and change the color combination slightly so I created a second card. All of the details are over on the Pretty Pink Posh Blog today along with the other version.

I'm loving these new Iridescent Mini Circle Confetti  and 3mm Sparkling clear sequins as they look beautiful together along with such a sparkle.  Plus, the iridescent 4mm Peridot Mist, has a wonderful shade of green and sparkles like no other in person.

When working on this card, I originally forgot to add a sentiment before I closed the shaker portion. Therefore, I thought it would be prefect to add a small sentiment from the Fox Friends set and emboss it in white.

Again, you can see all of the details over on the Pretty Pink Posh Blog today on how this card came together
