Happy Birthday Little One

Having some fun with this cute little Skater Kids stamp set which I wanted to make for my little grandson for his birthday who had fun picking out colors with me.

Joining in with the Simon Says Stamp Wedensday Challenge of  "Anything Goes" along with Kathy over at The Daily Marker as she is hosting again another 30 day color challenge...so exciting. Plus Seize the Birthday with topper of "border punch or die cuts"

Here is my card:
First off I will say it was fun making this card and having my 4yr old grandson help pick colors out, but the funny part was after all said and done, he changed his mind and wanted other colors, so I changed it. After changing it, he said "no grandma....I think the other colors are better".

Needless to say, we have changed this card over and over until he said..."I love it". He has fun helping me put the die through the big shot as well and now able to turn the handle on his own after I get it started. He gets proud of himself and always says "I did it...again".

To keep him part of the process, I would also have him watercolor on a seperate piece of paper which in turn, gave me inspiration to watercolor the backgrounds of these panels. I just love this Storybook 1 die from Pretty Pink Posh as it's perfect to create little scene inside each one. Plus I love the stitching, not only on the outside but inside.

Here, I added some cute blue designer paper from Lawn Fawn paper pack called: Beachside which lays underneath this mat. Next, to create the panel look, I used the Storybook 1 die along with the stitched rectangle from Blueprints 20 where I die cut the panel 3 times using white card stock and glued together before adhering to the card base to add some dimension.

Next, I pieced in the 3 watercolor backgrounds to the frame mat and went on to color these cute little critters from the Skater Kids stamp set from Simon Says Stamp using my copic markers. To finish off this card, I added in these little stars which was die cut using silver glitter card stock.

As always, if you haven't checked out the challenge, please stop over to check out all the inspiration.
