Happy Birthday with a Shaker

When I saw The Challenge was celebrating "1" year anniversay, over at Always Playing with Paper, I wanted to join the fun as well with The Challenge #28 and make another shaker card with these cute elephants. Also, joining Seize Your Birthday.

Here is my card:
Here I used my Blueprints #4 to help me out and get started to see if I could get two elephants in one on top of the other and worked perfect from the stamp set called: Unforgettable. Also, I wanted to get a couple more days in on coloring for the Daily Marker 30 day challenge so used my Copic Markers once more on this.

Added some dots using my texture paste and Tiny Dots Stencil and than used one of the hearts to add my sentiment on. Last but not least added some more Pretty Pink Posh sequins on top to finish this off.

Here is my card:
I just love this peacock feather bird by Verve from the stamp set called: Moments Remembered which I colored using my Copic Markers again and than applied Wink of Stella over the entire image to add a little glitter. For the strip behind, I used Blu Raspberry card stock along with Stitched Fishtail Flags (modified at the end).

Added a little rose using Pink Lemonade card stock and Mini Royal Roses along with some leaves from Sunny Days Stamp set. Circle is from the Stitched Circle Stax along with Kraft card stock. Last but not least added foam mount underneath and some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

You Are Worth It - Be Strong

Wanted to play again with the other girl from this cute stamp set called: Workout so put some time to play, color, and practice with my distress inks for background along with joining the Simon Says Stamps Wed challenge with "Anything Goes" and incorporate Kathy's 30 day coloring challenge over at The Daily Marker.
Here is my card:
I might just keep this for me as inspiration to go work out. Here I used the Stitched Rectangles from Simon Says Stamps since I love the double stitch look you get on the frame. Added some grass using the MFT Grassy Edges dies and went on to sponge the background with my distress inks.

Colored her with my Copic markers once again. Hard to tell in the photos, but she is popped up using foam mount as well as popping up the rectangle frame. I choose to have the sentiment on the inside.

Motivation to Keep Going and don't Quit

Had some time to play, color, and practice with my distress inks along with joining  the Simon Says Stamps Wed challenge with Anything Goes and incorporate Kathy's 30 day coloring challenge over at The Daily Marker.
Here is my card:
I just love this stamp set called: Work Out especially with this adorable yoga girl and you know I love stitches so once again, used my Blueprints 13 to cut out my base. Than, I used the Stitched Circles by Simon Says Stamps to create stitching inside and out of the circle.

I used my distress inks (Broken China, Spun Sugar, Scattered Straw) to create the background and had fun blending the colors together along with practicing. To get the green color below, I added the scattered straw color over the broken china color and got this really pretty green, since I was thinking grass for her to sit on

For final touches, I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins and added some foam mount under the yoga girl. Added the sentiment using my Misti and Hero Arts black ink to get a nice black look.

If you haven't already checked out the challenge site, go check it out to see the wonderful ideas and inspiration.

Supplies Used:

Celebrate Your Birthday Today

Joining the Sparkle & Shine Challenge with this cute sketch design they had which gave me another chance to play again with these cute flowers from The Big, the bold, and extra stamp set. Also, joining Seize Your Birthday challenge once again.
Here is my card:
Almost went all red on the flowers, but thought to change it up so once again, I played around with my distress inks and watercolor paper to create these colorful flowers, but not as vibrant as the previous time. Used some paper from the Stacked with Love and really enjoy the patterns it has.

Used my Blueprints 18 to help me cut out the patterned papers and along with using the stitched circle it came with. This way it leaves the stitches on the outside as well as the inside. Once again, fuzzy cut each one after white embossing.

Popped up the kraft panel since I almost made this into a shaker but change my mind at the last minute. Final touch was to add some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

As always, if you haven't checked out the challenges, go check them out to see wonderful ideas and inspiration. They have amazing design teams.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: The Big, the Bold & Extras (Winnie & Walter)

Inks: Black (Hero Arts), Copic Markers, Distress Inks

PP236 - Happy Birthday with Florals

I'm sure many of you know this challenge site, but for me it's a new one with The Paper Players PP236 of Florals which gave me a chance to play with a new stamp set I got: The Big, the Bold and Extras.
Here is my card:
Lots of fun stuff on this card by starting with texture paste and Flower Pattern stencil by Simon Says Stamps. Before the paste was dried, I added some Holographic embossing powder to add some glitter. Later, I cut out the panels by using my Horizontal Stitched Strips dies.

Since I wanted to incorporate Kathy's 30 day coloring challenge over at The Daily Marker, I colored these flowers using distress inks and watercolor paper. After coloring my paper, I stamped the flowers using white embossing powder and fussy cut each one. For the leaves, I colored those with my copic markers. I've been participating via instagram (lizstamps_15) with coloring if you would like to check it out.

This adorable script sentiment is from the stamp set called: Hand lettered thanks which is surrounded by Stitched circle dies. Final touch was to add just a few sequins by Pretty Pink Posh.

Here is my card for the SPDSS21
Pulled out this cute DSP from Stampin Up called: Stacked with Love and colored this little guy with my Copics and Prismacolor pencils. Used my Blueprints 13 as my base to get that stitch look around the base and than added my corner triangles.
