VLVJune Week1 - Brighter Days for a Special Friend

Having fun again with water coloring and wanted to play with this adorable sketch design by Julee Tilman over at the Viva La Verve Sketch June 2015 Week 1 along with joining Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge of which I choose flowers.
Also, joining Simon Says Stamps Wednesday challenge as this card is for a special friend which I thought would brighten her day.
Here is my card:
Love this set full of flowers, wonderful sentiments, and for so many occassions called: Brighter Days. Started off with a stitched black base using Blueprints 15 and than added some Typeset Speialty DSP for the bottom. Next created a watercolor background for the center using my distress inks and added a black mat behind it.

For the right hand side of this card, I started off die cutting a Tear Drop Circle from Spellbinders in Lemon Chiffon than cut a circle using Summer Splash card stock and last but not least cut a stitched circle in white. Obviously I cut all of them in half and layerd them together. Added the sentiment which is from the same stamp set and colored the word using my copic marker.

Next moved on to more fun stuff which was white embossing these scallop flowers and using my Spectrum Noir Aqua markers using various colors. Added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins for final touches.

Also, please check out and join the fun with the 30 day color challenge Kathy's is hosting over at The Daily Marker .

VLV2014 wk3 - Wishing You Much Happiness

What a fun sketch over at Viva La Verve and lots of layers with week three designed by Christyne Kane and a photo inspiration full of colors, so out came black, purple, and a little golden yellow. Well, I also added some pinks into it for the flower and some green for the leaves.

Here is my card:
Pulled out some ctmh paper that I've had for awhile now called: La Belle Vie along with using the matching cardstock that came with the pack.  Also, since I love flowers and wanted to color, I pulled out the stamp set from Verve called: Feel the Sun and did a lot of fussy cut.

The sentiment came from another Verve stamp set called Brighter Days and love how well it goes with this card plus I can color part of it as well. Used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color the flower and sentiment along with some foam mount in between to pop up the flower.

Don't forget to check out the new Viva La Verve sketch challenge.
