I'm so excited to play with all of the new stamps, dies, and
sequins from Pretty Pink Posh latest release where she
is celebrating 4 years and having a three day blog hop starting today. You
don't want to miss!! Make sure to check out her blog and join the fun in
celebrating. I'll be back tommorrow with another card.
As I was playing around, I had an idea of stretching a border die
and using it slightly different. Take a look below at how this card came
together.
Before I started on this card, I couldn't resist but to start
coloring using this new Pretty
Petunias set using my copic markers as all of the flowers are
so pretty. Than I grabbed the Coordinating
Die to help me cut them out and put it aside.
For the base card, I pulled out the Stitched Notes die to create a dark blue frame around the card. Next, I grabbed the Stacked Edges 1 collection and ran the slanted horizontal die through cutting machine.
Here, I pieced the border onto the frame by gluing it down from
behind so it wouldn't show the cut edges on the front side.
Added an acetate
sheet onto the back of the frame along with some white fun foam to turn
this card into a shaker. For the background scene, I added clouds using a
scallop border die from the Stitched
Borders 2 collection and did some ink blending using Maliblue
ink (SSS).
Added some fun Mini
Sparkling Clear Flowers which I glued down in place before adding in
this beautiful new sequins called: Party Time
Mix which is filled with Navy, Marigold, Orchid, and Pink Peonies in
addition to both 4mm and 6mm.
Lastly, I used the new Hello Friend Script to add to the top and bottom portion of this card. I love the script font....don't you? To pop up the sentiment, I die cut the words twice using white card stock and once again using gold foil cardstock. Stacked all three layers together using glue.
Popped up the flower using
foam mount tape and added some white dashes using my white gel pen.
Again, you don't want to miss out on the celebration Pretty Pink Posh is hosting. She is celebrating 4 years!! Check it out on her blog
