MFTWSC238 - May Your Wishes Come True

Another cute sketch over at MFT card challenge with MFTWSC238 and one more birthday card with a little sparkle and shine for the Simon Says Stamp Wendesday Challenge.
Here is my card:
Here I started off with using Grout Gray cardstock as my base using Blueprint 20 for the stitched rectangle. Next, I die-cut a cross stitched rectangle using white card stock and used Summer Splash cardstock to use as a mat behind it.

To add the look of grass, I first, die-cut a white piece of cardstock using the Grassy Fields die and placed took the negative piece and placed over the area where I wanted the grass. From there I sponged in the color creating the look of grass.
Created the ballons by die-cutting Birthday Balloons along with Birthday Wishes Balloons as they are a perfect to use together if you want a mat look. Colors are Daffodil, Ripe Raspberry, and Lavender Fields. Kraft cardstock for the strings. To add some details, I used the white sharpie pen and added chevron, dots, and crosses on the balloons.

For the bears, present, and sentiment, I used the stamp set called: Birthday Bears and colored them using my copic markers. Last but not least, I added some clear sequins and Wink of Stella over the present to add a little sparkle and shine.

Added a fishtail flag using Daffodil cardstock and added the sentiment from the set: Birthday Bears. Next, I pulled out the set called Whimsical Flowers from Altenew and colored them using my copic markers and die-cut using the matching dies which than attached to the card. PP254 - Special Delivery on Your Birthday!

Wanted to create another card for this challenge over at The Paper Players with PP254 and create a frame around this cute little penguin from the Sugar Pea Designs. Also, joining Seize the Birthday as they have "Anything Goes" this week where this card is Special Delivery (Birthday Wishes)

Here is my card:
To create my frame here, first I die-cut a stitched square using Blueprints 14 and next, I took the same square and placed a stitched circle in the center using Stitched circle dies from Simon Says Stamp as that would leave a stitched look on the outside of the circle.

Next, I die-cut another circle using the same dies so that I could place that in the center where I created my background by adding some clouds first using Maliblue ink and than for the grass portion, I die cut using the Stitched Snow Drifts and Jellybean Green cardstock. and added that to the background.

Colored in this adorable penquin from the stamp set: Happy Mail using my copic markers. Since, I wanted to create some depth to the frame look, I added some craft foam under the white square to raise it up, but before that, I added the sentiment from the same set. Next, I popped up this little penquin as well using foam mount and added some enamel dots to finish it off.

As always, if you haven't checked out the challenge, please stop over to check out all the inspiration.

Sending Hugs to Someone Special

Love the challenge this week over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday blog with  "Get in Shape". They don't mean diet and excercise, just no squares or rectangles. Therefore, I came up with this below.

Here is my card:
It's been a long time since I made an easel card, but this was so much fun to make and wanted to create something special for a dear friend of mine, so went on to create this card. Here is the view when the card is sitting up.

This is the top view of the card using several products. Started off with die-cutting a Cross Stitched Circle where I created the background by sponging on the color for the grass and sky. Next, added in the sentiment from the set: Big Scripty Greetings

Afterwards, I colored in this cute little girl from the set: PI Heart Bouquet using my copic markers where I than added foam mount underneath and popped her up. For the scallop circle card, I used the Bigz Die called: Circle Scallop along with Wild Cherry cardstock

Inside of the card:
For the inside, I cut out another Cross Stitched circle and than another circle using from the new MFT paper pack Dots & Strips. Also, to decorate the inside of the card, I used Modern Blooms stamp set where I popped up the flowers using foam mount so that when you open the card, it acts as a placement stand.

Once again, here is the finished look when the card is closed. Almost forgot, added some white details to the hearts with dots and stripes. As always, if you haven't checked out the challenge sites, please go take a look to see all the fabulous inspiration and creativity.

Here is my card:
Here I started by cutting out a Stitched frame using Kraft cardstock and Stitched Rectangles Dies by Simon Says Stamps. Next, I went on to create this background by using some of my newest inks I got from Simon called Jellybean, Maliblue, and Rosie Cheeks. Afterwards, I used my mister and sprayed some mixture of water and Perfect Pearls. To finish it, I added some white drops using my distress paint and a waterbrush.
Afterwards, I added this adorable sentiment from their Color of Fun release called: Big Scripty Greetings. Next, I got my hands on these gorgegous flowers from Altenew set called: Vintage Flowers that I recently purchased and created three different colored flowers in Pink, Yellow, and Blue. Final touch was to use some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Added some Doddlebug paper from the Sugar Shoppe pad at the bottom which I die cut using the Horizontal Stitched Strips from MFT. I must say water coloring is so much fun and relaxing for me. MFTWSC236 - Sending Hugs and Smiles

Love this sketch over at MFT Card Challenge MFTWSC236 and wanted to create a special card for Kathy over at The Daily Marker and giving her a thumbs up for all the times she demonstrates and shows us in her videos the different techniques one can do with coloring and different mediums. She is fabulous and so sweet to also show us tricks and tips. I say "Wonderful teacher"

Here is my card:
As I was doing this card, I found myself converting this into a 5 x 5 card instead of an A2 which gave me a chance to use my Blueprints 14 frame using Sweet Tooth cardstock. To add a mat base under, I grabbed Black Licorice cardstock. Next, I used the biggest Stiched Jumbo Fishtail Banner die along with Sno Cone cardstock for the center main attraction. Kraft cardstock was added to each side.

Next, I pulled out the In Bloom: Addie's Garden from Winnie & Walter and colored in these flowers and leaves with my Copic marker. For the sentiment, I used The Big, the Bold, and Friends along with the the Stitched Circles from Simon Says Stamps. To finish off this card, I added some sequins. I have another idea with this sketch as well as it's so cute.

Here is my card:
First off, I wanted to play with a different color combo to change things up a bit plus have some fun with coloring again. Here, I did start with Blueprints 13 for the stitched white base. Next, I used the set from Winnie & Walter called: In Bloom Lola's Bouquet with Joni Andaya to create a background.

Added some Kraft card stock at the bottom and than a new color from MFT which I recently got called: Coral Crush.

For the focal point, I die cut a Stitched circle using Blu Raspberry and than a white circle to add on top. Next, colored in this cute little pup from Mama Elephant from the set called: Playful Pups using my copic markers

For the sentiment, I used the same set but only the words "For You" which I embossed using white embossing powder. Both the dog and sentiment are popped up using foam mount.

MFTWSC235 - Sending a Big Hug on Your Birthday!

Celebrating another Birthday for one of our friends in our IG Crafty Crew group, Sandy IG: (mommyeyedr) so decided to use this cute sketch MFTWSC235 over at MFT card challenge using some new products I got recently.

Wanted to wish Sandy a wonderful belated birthday and hope she enjoys all year long as she is so sweet and supportive. Also, joining in with another favorite challenge with Seize The Birthday. The topping is "Red, White, and Blue", but it's optional
Here is my card:
Yes, I did start with a blueprint, but this time it's Blueprint 25 which is perfect for A2 card and a nice stitched border. Next, I used Blueprint 23 for the center panel which I than stamped with using Happy Birthday Background and Sweet Tooth pigment in onto After Midnight cardstock. Really love this new blue they came out with.

For the main attraction, I first created some clouds onto white cardstock and die cut using the Cross-Stitch circle. For the grass portion, I die cut using the Stitched Snow Drifts and Sour Apple cardstock. Next, went on to color the ballons using my copic markers and popped up a few ballons using foam mount along with the panda.

For the sentiment, I used Blueprint 25 again along with Tickled Pink cardstock, but since the sentiment was longer than my pink strip, I took away one word. Last but not least, I added some stars which is included in the Blueprints 25 using another new color called: Daffodil.

As always, if you haven't checked out the challenge, please stop over to check out all the inspiration.
