Sending You Happy Holidays

Having fun with these reindeers and penguins again to create another Christmas card and join one of my friends Giorgia @ciocioscrap from Instagram on the challenge of making 100 Christmas cards. Also, joining again with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of using "dies".

Here is my card:
First off, I took an A2 size piece of white card stock and die cut 3/4 down using the Stitched Borders 2 from Pretty Pink Posh and cut again using Sno Cone card stock which was added underneath the white. I than stamped the sentiment using black ink before adding texture paste with the falling snow stencil

Tip: when positioning the stencil over the word take into account where the dots are going to land on as I didn't pay attention the first time and re-did it. I learned from my prior mistake and positioned the stencil where it wouldn't hit the word and it worked.

From there, I took the negative of the cut I just did and added it back to the panel so that I would have an A2 size panel. This is the bottom portion of the card. Later, I took my blueprint 13 and ran it though my big shot to create the stitched border and since I wanted this raised from the actual white base card, I added some fun craft foam underneath.
Another tip: add texture paste after you finish die-cutting unless you like a flatten look to the texture paste which is no problem, but I wanted it puffy so, I put stencil over it again and added some more. It does got through the big shot with no problem, but just flattens the look of the texture.

Now moving onto the focal point, where I used this cute adorable film strip die as I love the stitched trio look using Sno Cone card stock and again using Pink Lemonade card stock as I wanted the squares pink.

Colored these cute little animals from theToboggan Together stamp set using my copic markers, but thinking to use my watercolors next time around. Last but not least, added a few 4m clear sequins along with a couple 6m Ballerina Pink Irridescent sequins. (one on the top right corner). They are beautiful in person.

As always, if you haven't checked out the challenge, please stop over to check out all the inspiration.
